Introduction
Welcome to my website. I thought it would be nice to tell you a little bit about me so that you can get to know me better. (That’s me on the right by the way)
For ten years after leaving university I was a radio journalist. I started reading out loud at Radio City in Liverpool where I did news bulletins and also some football commentaries on Liverpool, Everton and primarily Tranmere. After 3 years there I moved over to Manchester to be the News boss at Century FM (which is now Real Radio) and then I was in charge at Xfm Manchester for a couple of years. When I left there I went into a PR agency for a year.
I’d always been interested in photography though and often played with my Dad’s old SLR as a nipper and liked seeing what results I’d get. I splashed out on my own DSLR in 2009 and I’ve been snapping away ever since, starting with friends weddings and now doing it as a career.
I can’t tell you how good it feels to be able to do something you love for a job. Honestly, more people should try it.
I made the decision to go out on my own after being inspired by books like ‘Think and Grow Rich,’ and ‘Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway,’ and ‘the guide,’ a book which I helped launch. These books gave me the confidence that I could achieve what I wanted to do and I always refer back to them from time to time. Life is about enjoyment and living in the moment.
I guess in many ways that’s how I see my photography style as well. I will be there as you share moments, whether they be with family or with friends, I’ll just happen to have my camera with me and be taking beautiful pictures which will preserve those memories forever.
When I’m not taking pictures you’ll either find me watching sport, mainly football and cricket, or I’ll be out on my road bike training for some ridiculous ride which I’ve entered myself in to.
I really hope I’ll be speaking to you soon.
